I fucking LOVE Christmas

I’ve spent three days running around frantically finding the *perfect* decorations for Christmas. I spent all of today shopping and I’m feeling delightfully GIDDY! I’m drinking eggnog, red in the cheeks. I went to Costco today and bought a Ham, and a Turkey (yes you read that right – A ham AND a turkey). I still remember my Canadian thanksgiving turducken (so amazing).

Then, I went to the boyscout’s Xmas tree lot and I literally found THEE perfect tree. It could not be more perfect. I am literally in love with it, and if I could have it’s tree babies, I would. It’s so big! It’s got to be at least seven feet tall… taller than me!!!! The two little scouts that helped me tie it to the top of my jeep just sealed the deal. They were beyond adorable…. coaching each other on knots and twine.

The banister decoration that I designed in my head turned out even better than I thought it would. Luna is very excited about all the decorations. The moment the tree came through the door she grabbed a bough in her mouth and started prancing around the kitchen and living room. Can you say adorable?

Did I mention I’m giddy? I sent off some Christmas packages and cards yesterday too. I can’t wait to make cookies, and Christmas dinner, and and and omg! I just wish my family was here.
